Meade Battlegaming Society Twice a month (see schedule) see below MBS

The Meade Battlegaming Society is a group of wargamers who meet twice a month at the Provinces Branch of the Anne Arundel County Library (see map), near Fort Meade, Maryland. This year our meeting days are the second and fourth Saturday of each month (although this varies a little according to availability of the library's conference room). The first meeting each month is our business meeting, where we schedule the month's activities. We have a fairly stable membership of about 18 people, and we've been in existence (under various names) since 1977.

We play a wide variety of games at the club, ranging from miniatures (HiTech:Battletech; LowTech: Ship-of-the-Line) to boardgames (Kingmaker, Civilization, and EuroRails). Although we don't role-play at the club, several of our members are also role-players, and have participated in ongoing campaigns outside the club (such as AD&D, Champions, Torg, Masterbook, Shadowrun and Space 1889).

Visitors are welcome at any of our meetings; our business meetings are on the first meeting of each month (at noon) and usually last about 15-20 minutes. Anyone wishing more information is invited to drop by and check us out; we'll be there!
