I spent most of my time (30+ hours) running 18xx. Surprisingly, I made my own final and placed 3rd. I also was competitive in Age of Renaissance, making that semifinal as well. My third event, Settlers, didn't go so well, I didn't win a single game. I did get to see a few of the other GCOM people there and got in some pick-up games as well (Citadelles, Puerto Rico, and some Liar's Dice game). I stayed down at the Hampton Inn rather than drive back home every night (I live about 70 minutes NE of Hunt Valley), which was good, because there were a lot of late nights. It was all kind of a blur... |
