Why Become a GCOM ASSOCIATE MEMBER?

One of the main purposes of Games Club of Maryland is to help grow the gaming hobby. You can show your support for the hobby you enjoy by becoming GCOM member. Having offical members helps the hobby in many ways.
  1. Associate membership is FREE.
  2. The more people we can list as members, the more we can show that the hobby is growing.
  3. We can attract more new people to the hobby by showing our members.
  4. GCOM will have a greater effect on the hobby and can do more to help the hobby grow the more members it has.
  5. You get some great membership benefits that are listed below.
  6. We respect your privacy. (see our privacy policy.)
  7. If you do not like alot of e-mail you can be on our monthly e-mail list and only receive one e-mail per month.
  8. On the other hand if you want as much information as possible you can sign up for our weekly e-mail list and get e-mail once a week or more.
  9. Show your support for the hobby. Strengthen the hobby and be counted!
How to Become a GCOM ASSOCIATE MEMBER

  1. Attend three Games Club of Maryland sessions and/or offical events at a recognized site within one years time.
        (See the Locations and Events pages for current GCOM locations and events).
  2. Give the following information to your GCOM host and to Keith Levy at gcom@gamesclubofmd.org (GCOM Member Form)

    1. full name
    2. snail mail address
    3. e-mail address*
    4. home phone
    5. approximate date of first GCOM session attendance.

    *Your e-mail address will be added to the regular GCOM e-mail list.
    - All the above infomation is not given out to any outside companies.
    *Your name,city and membership status will appear on the GCOM website.

  3. You're a member for life.

How to Become a GCOM Supporting Member

Supporting Member Informational Flyer

Supporting Membership is an OPTIONAL level of GCOM Membership open to the general public.
GCOM Associate Membership is not required to become a Supporting Member.
Anyone who pays yearly dues of $20 can become a GCOM Supporting Members.
Those seventeen years of age or younger pay an annual fee of $10 for GCOM Supporting Membership.
Your money goes towards helping GCOM exist, thrive and grow.
Some GCOM operating expenses are:

  • Website
  • Advertising
  • Flyers
  • Computer supplies and support, operating supplies, convention suppilies, GCOM club and event resources.


The additional benefits* to becoming a supporting member are:

  1. Discounts offered for GCOM events where a fee is charged as noted with event registration.
  2. One order of Free GCOM business cards. (click here for details)
  3. One free order of GCOM gaming box labels. (click here for details)
  4. Discounts on GCOM merchandise and products (click here for details)
  5. Ability to borrow games from the GCOM Library.
  6. Ability to borrow/access to GCOM resources for approved GCOM events.
  7. Ability to run for office to serve on the GCOM Board of Directors.
  8. Voting rights on matters the board puts forth to supporting members.
  9. Ability to recommend new GCOM locations and host.
  10. Ability to be on a GCOM committee.
  11. Invitations to GCOM Board of Director meetings.
  12. As a Supporting member you have been given additional access to the GCOM website to do the following: Add/Edit a Link and Add/Edit and Event(limited to special events).



To become a Supporting Member:

  1. Send payment via one of the methods listed on the GCOM contacts page.
  2. Include
    1. your full name or all full names of Supporting Members
    2. your complete street address
    3. your e-mail address

How to Become a GCOM PATRON

Patron membership is an OPTIONAL level of membership open to ALL GCOM members. Associate membership is not required to become a Patron Member. Current GCOM Members who pay the yearly dues of $100 become Patron Members. The dues cover Patron Membership for one year from date of purchase. Your money goes towards helping GCOM exist, thrive and grow. Some GCOM operating expenses are: -Website -Advertising -Flyers -Operating supplies -Seed money for GCOM conventions & products.

The additional benefits to becoming a Patron are:

  1. All the benefits of a Supporting Member.
  2. One admission to GCOM's Game Days Convention. (Your admission is transferable to any person you designate up to the pre-registration deadline.)
  3. One admission to GCOM's annual Family Picnic.  (Your admission is transferable to any person you designate up to the pre-registration deadline.)
  4. Half off regular admission to the GCOM Gaming Retreat. (Your admission is transferable to any person you designate up to the pre-registration deadline.)
  5. Invitation to Board of directors meetings to observe or participate via teleconference.
  6. Recognition in event literature if desired by member.
  7. Recognition on the website membership list.
  8. Two orders of GCOM Personalized Business Cards
  9. Two orders of GCOM Personalized Gaming Box Labels
  10. One GCOM Bumper Sticker
