When:

Sunday, June 29th, 2008. Picnic and Park Hours: 10AM to 8:00 PM. Food Service starts at Noon - 7PM.
The picnic will be held under a covered pavilion and will take place rain or shine.

What:
|
Join GCOM for fun, games, food and great times.
|
|
Who:
|
GCOM Members and invited Guests. GCOM members may invite non-members.
Pre-registration is required to attend (please see below)

Food:
|
Hamburgers, hotdogs and chicken on the grill. Assorted beverages, side dishes, snacks, and desserts.
|
|
Activities:
|
Open gaming, croquet, boat rentals, playground, beach volleyball, tennis court, basketball court, and a hiking path.
|
|
What to Bring:
|
Your Favorite Games. If you are interested in any sports activities you must bring along the
appropriate equipment to play. Anyone interested in coordinating special games or sporting
events should post on our GCOM discussion forum at gamesclubofmd@yahoogroups.com.
We are looking for volunteers to assist with bringing sides, snacks and desserts. Contact Peter
Putnam or Keith Levy for all details (see Contact Info below).
Volunteers are needed for...
- Transportation of Supplies
- Set up: tables, food, beverages, games, etc.
- Food donations (salads, desserts, chips...)
- Beverages, Ice, Coolers
- Grill Service
- Clean Up
- Special Events (Volleyball, Croquet...)

Admission is by Pre-Registration Only. No walk ins will be admitted.
Cost: GCOM Associate members and Guests: $15. Supporting Members:$10. Patron Members: Free.
Children 17 and under: Free, when accompanied by a paying adult.

Directions:
|
From Route 29 (Columbia Pike): travel to Route 108 (Clarksville Pike) West.
Travel 1 mile to Ten Mills Rd/Centennial Park South Entrance, which is at the second
traffic light. (Do not enter the Park at the East entrance, which you will pass,
prior to the South entrance.) Turn right at the south park entrance. Stay on the
main park road, which curves left. Pavilion D is up on the hill to the right.
From Interstate I-95: Travel to Exit #43- Route 100 West.
Take 100 West to 29 South. Follow directions above.

I would I like to thank everyone for their support and food contributions at the 3rd annual GCOM Family Picnic.
We had a hugely successful event due to numerous attendees bringing dessrts and side dishes.

Actual attendance was 102.
Attendance was up 38% from last year.
We will do it agian next year, most likely at the same location.

several werewolf decks and a spider man 2 t-shirt. A yellow knapsack-type bag. has four paddles
with sunction cups, a small ball and a yellow frisbee.
