Euro Decathlon
When:Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 8-9, 2007
Where:University of Maryland, College Park (South Campus Dining Hall)
Sponsored By:TriaDCon and the Games Club of Maryland

GCOM is pleased to announce, that we will be -- for the first time -- sponsoring a GCOM event at another gaming Convention, with the help of GCOM members John Weber, Steve Quade, Scott Fisher, Rick Bynaker and Mark Guttag. It's appropriate that it be an event in the State of Maryland, specifically, TriaDCon which will take place Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 8-9, 2007.

The event is called the Euro Decathlon, and the concept is to take 20 of the most popular games (based on BoardGameGeek ratings) and align them in 10 time slots in a two-day gamer's marathon event, with points scoring like the Olympic Decathlon. We are close to finalizing GM commitments for the final few games, but there is already a webpage with a specific schedule. Right now, the plan is to include only games rated in the top 50 at BGG. Click here for more info: Euro Decathlon.
