WBC 2004 - Doug Hoylman

My success story was in (what else) Facts in Five. The new GM, Randy Cox, came up with much tougher categories than his predecessor; last year I had a perfect score in one round, but this year I didn't even come close to that. Some categories were right up my alley (2-letter Scrabble words), others weren't (Hall of Fame pitchers, tournaments at the first Avaloncon), but I still got my second win in three years. (Last year I was second.) There were 31 contestants; one more and it would have meant another point for the GCOM Caboose team.
