Laurel Main Street Festival

For the first time, the Games Club of Maryland will be renting a booth at this year's Laurel Main Street Festival, which will be held Saturday, May 12, 2007 from 9 AM to 2 PM. This open-air event has attracted large crowds each year and provides us with a unique opportunity to promote GCOM and the gaming hobby to the public at large. We hope demonstrate some games and hand out flyers. Join us for this unique event!

For more details, here is a link to the webpage describing the event.

The Games Club of Maryland has authorized rental of a booth at the Laurel
Main Street Festival in Laurel on Saturday, May 12, 2006. The booth will be
open from approximately 9 AM to 4 PM. This will be an excellent opportunity to
promote and advertise the Games Club of Maryland and the gaming hobby
in general to the public at large who will be attending this open-air event,
which is usually very well attended. A few volunteers are needed to help with
setting up and running the booth, and those participating in the event will have
the opportunity to set up and demo and play a few games, so it should be a fun
experience as well.

Anyone interested in participating should contact John Weber at jcw222@comcast.net
